Santorini beaches

The beach with the golden thin sand. Swim and relax in its shallow waters and enjoy the sun lying on a beach-chair. Ideal for families and nature-lovers, overflowing with tamarisks generously offering their shade.

Monolithos

The most popular beach of Santorini, gathering the majority of visitors. A great number of hotels, inns, shops and people, composing a pure setting of vacations. Awarded with the E.U. blue flag beach.

Kamari

The huge beach in the eastern part of Santorini is called “Perissa” at one side and “Perivolos” at the other one. The best “touristic” beach of the island. Its crystal-clear waters and endless stretch of golden sand make it very popular. Ideal for those who fancy beach bars, loud music and slender bodies!

Tip: Should you be lucky, you will meet the wandering… masseur, roaming on the beach to offer you muscular relief and relaxation!

Perissa and Perivolos

White pumice rocks, forming a moon landscape, constitute the characteristic feature of this awesome beach. Here you can even swim nude among the cliffs at the end of the beach. For couples but also for those who seek new experiences!

Tip: It is said that sun reflection on the rocks enhances suntanning!

Vlyhada

Get equipped with water, sandwiches and off you go for the beach with the black pebbles! The cliff offers you its shade and it is certain that you will find enough space. Deep waters and big waves when the weather is rough! Ideal in case you want to avoid many people.

Koloumpo

It stretches out two kilometers after Koloumpo, coming from Oia. It is a small sandy beach, where you can enjoy swimming and eating fresh fish. Preferred by local families and nature lovers.

Pori

The small bay behind Ammoudi becomes your private beach, once you decide to walk down 300 steps from Oia –the problem is walking them up on your way back!– or you can approach it from Ammoudi by boat. For the adventurous type.

Armeni

A private beach between Oia and Imerovigli. Swimming in crystal-clear waters, far from the crowd. The access is only by sea but is really worth it!

Mouzakia

The name of the beach reveals its colour. The volcano here selected its own favorite colour. Dark red stone becoming red sand down deep at the seabottom. Even though access is difficult –you have to walk for quite long–, it is really worth living the experience!

Red Beach

Cliffs have touched upon the sea in this tiny bay, right below Oia. Dive from the boat or from the small beach with the red and black pebbles and let yourself free in the inviting waters of Santorini!

All ambitious swimmers feel at ease here.

Tip: Follow the path from Ammoudi after the tavernas and you will find yourselves among the cliffs. You can enjoy diving from 6 meters high, from the beautiful islet with the chapel of Agios Nikolaos.

Ammoudi

Black or white sand, red or white pebbles? Green, blue or black waters? Santorini has not many beaches. At the inner side of the Caldera, there are very few. Most beaches are situated in the eastern part of Santorini. However, all of them are unique. So, let yourself plunge into the magic of Santorini!

Right next to the Red Beach, stretches out the White Beach, simply for a change in color! Small, with clear transparent waters, white pebbles, calmness and tranquillity! It is worth exploring the sea bottom with your mask and snorkel! For those who want to see and feel the difference!

White Beach

It is worth coming here to admire the fascinating cave leading to the White Beach. And, for sure, you will settle here when the strong wind does not allow you to swim anywhere else on the island. Naturally sculptured rocks and crystal-clear waters just for you!
